Dr. Allan Jacob joined the company in 1999. He is a Board Certified nephrologist who has practiced in North Miami Beach, FL. In addition to his successful career as a physician, Dr. Jacob has fourteen years of experience successfully creating and operating healthcare service businesses including Home Intensive Care (through IPO stage and then sold to WR Grace' National Medical Care), Orion Medical Enterprises, and Physicians Dialysis of America. Dr. Jacob is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. At Medifocus, Dr. Jacob serves as President and Co-chairman of the Medical Advisory Board which advises the company in the development of its advanced products. He also serves on the Board of Directors.
Elliot Jacob, Ph.D.

Research and Development
Dr. Elliot Jacob founded Medifocus in 1996. After earning a Ph.D. in Microbiology, he spent many years doing research as the Chief of Microbiology at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Dr. Jacob has over fifteen years of experience utilizing medical databases and of using Internet based medical information for research purposes. At Medifocus, Dr. Jacob is responsible for all research, content development, product production and maintenance, quality control and professional training. He is also Co-chairman of the Board of Directors.
Avi Zemelman
Senior Vice President
Business Development
Avi Zemelman joined the company shortly after it was founded and has served in various executive capacities. After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School, he has gained fifteen years of experience in active business management including two highly successful start-up companies which were subsequently acquired. At Medifocus, Mr. Zemelman is responsible for business development and marketing. He is also Co-chairman of the Board of Directors.
